Gabriella Prokai, known by her artistic name LAPROKAY, lives and works as a freelance artist in Neerach, near Zurich. She has been painting since 1998.

At the heart of her artistic practice lies a painting and design method she has developed herself, which combines a process-oriented approach with controlled composition.

LAPROKAY’s works are characterised by a high degree of expressive intensity, in which

Colour and form function as equally important vehicles for emotion and structure.

The paintings oscillate between gestural dynamism and formal precision, and their impact unfolds within the tension between intuition and artistic discipline.

The works demand active, focused engagement and open up multi-layered spaces of perception for the viewer, in which emotional intensity and painterly virtuosity intertwine.
