SAWA SAWA explores the themes of closeness, connection and cultural

An encounter conveyed through a visual language that is both powerful and sensitive.

Two women stand close together; the tender gesture of the figure on the left conveys a sense of trust, whilst the direct gaze of the woman on the right creates a strong connection with the viewer. Cubist-style fragmented planes give structure to the faces and clothing without detracting from their human expression.

Different skin tones are not presented as a contrast, but

With ROOTS LAPROKAY explores the roots of human identity. Three characters – two adults and a child – journey together, symbolising family, bonds and the formative influences in our lives.

The distinctive combination of representational painting and Cubist-inspired, simplified forms lends the work a unique visual language. Harmonious shades of turquoise, blue and green, delicate lines and striking light-and-dark contrasts create depth and a calm yet powerful atmosphere.

The red construction lines symbolise the

With „STRING VIBRATIONS“ LAPROKAY combines music and

painting to create an expressive visual composition.

The harpist seems to become one with her instrument, whilst the strings permeate the pictorial space as visible vibrations, translating sound into a visual language.

The harmonious colour palette of turquoise, blue and grey tones is effectively accentuated by the vibrant red of the hair.

Cubist-inspired forms, delicate lines and multi-layered textures lend the work a sense of dynamism and spatial depth.
